Overcoming Bulimia

Emotional eating affects so many of us but what you need to know is the there are darker sides of emotional eating and bulimia is one of them.

Dream Teeth

Bulimia is an eating disorder where a someone consumes a huge whole of food and then attempts to purge it from their system by vomiting, taking laxatives or exercising excessively. The pattern itself can come to be addictive and despite promises made to oneself that each time will be the last time, the behavior continues. Bingeing and purging often leads to feelings of shame, guilt and self-hatred, not mention what it can do to your body and teeth.

I often tell emotional eaters that using food may furnish a few moments of relief or relieve but it can never get you what you literally need. And in the same way, purging might give you a symbolic feeling that you are wiping the slate clean or getting rid of something you don't want. But it can never take away the things that you are literally trying to get rid of for example, anxiety, fear, regret, sadness, abuse, etc.

This week I interviewed a woman who struggled with bulimia for many years. I concept it would be good for you to hear, in her words, what her experiences were so that you might find some power and hope on your own journey.

Q: How old were you when it started?

A: I started experimenting when I was about 15 and then literally began when I was 17.

Q: How long did it go on for?

A: The worst of it was for about 6 years.  After that it took years to stop all together.  I probably didn't stop completely until my early thirties.  I am now forty.  As recent as two years ago I had a one time slip.

Q: How often did you binge and purge?

A: At first it was a few times a week and then every day.  Then for a period of time it progressed to 3 times a day.

Q: Why did you binge and purge?

A: To leave my life.  To not feel my feelings.   To avoid conflicts.  To express my anger (the only problem with that is that I took it out on myself because I was unable to express my anger to the suitable habitancy in my life).  To hurt myself because I was used to being hurt and neglected.  To repeat on some level the abuse I experienced as a kid.  To numb myself.  To think of nothing but food so that I would have some relief from emotional pain (I didn't perceive though that it was causing other kind of pain).  To attain perfection because I felt interminably not good enough.  To control my environment.  To attempt order because  I grew up in an atmosphere of expansive chaos.   It gave me an illusion of control.  To feel "clean."  I felt dirty and bad.  I was symbolically trying to rid my self of all the "bad" in me.   To stay connected to my mom (She had an eating problem.  She was very overweight) I didn't want to be fat like her.  I was disgusted by her weight but I felt tied to her and scared to separate and our tasteless obsession and fixation on food was something we could share. To feel masterful and good at Something.  Because of very low self-esteem I was going to have a good body and be complete in my eating.  I could be perfect and not let one "bad" thing go in my body.  If I ate something bad I'd get rid of it.  To avoid my life and my career.   A place to put all my time and energy.   Feeling afraid and unable to pursue my dreams I needed something to Ant. Eject me.

Without emotional preserve in my life and with too much shame to share myself with others food was used for nurturance and self-soothing. It was something reliable that would always be there for me. It was a safe place to express want and need, I could take my fill of food.  I could take all I wanted and not risk rejection.  With habitancy I felt like I wanted and needed too much. But with food I could take as much as I wanted or needed.

Q: Did you promise yourself each time that it would be the last?

A: Yes.  Every time I swore to myself that I'd never do it again.

Q: How did you try to stop?

A: By avoiding "bad foods." By exercising mental that if I felt fit and trim I wouldn't try to manage my weight with binging and purging (but it wasn't about weight. On the face yes, but the truth is I wasn't even trying to lose weight).  Also with psychotherapy and Overeaters Anonymous.

Q: What things were most productive in helping you stop?

A: Psychotherapy, more specifically a very loving therapist, body work, and yoga.

Q: What were some signs that you were getting better?

A: Curiosity and desire for things in the world.  Less concentration and focus on food and what and where and when I would eat.  Eating too much and feeling a sense of acceptance instead of panic.  Flexibility colse to food and being less rigid.  Being open to more group situations where I wouldn't be able to control my food.

Q: What would you tell other habitancy that are binging and purging?

A: Please don't do it (easier said than done I know).   Please stop hurting yourself.   I know personally how hard it is not to (even if consciously you don't want to) and I have literally no judgment of anyone who engages in the behavior but I learned the hard way how much damage you can do to yourself.  I destroyed my teeth and had to have a complete reconstruction.  It was painful and precious and took several years to complete.  I felt like my bulimia took years from my life and ten years to heal from.  It is something I have had to take responsibility for but I have often felt robbed and cheated of a lot of time.   I don't think most habitancy who binge and purge perceive the inherent consequences.

I guess I would just say that if you are binging and purging please get help. Please find someone to talk to. It's too hard to do alone.

If you struggle with bulimia, I hope that something here sheds some light for you on your life. Beware of a voice in your head that says anyone like "I might throw up once in awhile but I'm not as bad as her" or "I have it under control."  That's a sign that you're trying to clarify your behavior and trick yourself into believing it's okay to continue binging and purging. Emotional eaters find themselves turning to food more and more once it has been installed as a coping mechanism, and bulimics find themselves purging more and more as life becomes stressful. Getting help works. You are not alone and you don't have to face this by yourself.

Why Is Diet Soda Bad For You? gawk the Truth!

When talking to population about weight loss, invariably the topic of soft drink, pop or soda gets a mention. To avoid confusion while this article I will refer to these drinks as soda.

Interpretation Teeth

Now, unless you have been living under a rock or you just have rocks in your head, you know that drinking soda will derail your weight loss efforts.

Fundamentally soda is bad for you (no kidding)! Bad for your teeth, bad for your general well being and very bad for your weight.

To by comparison the point, an average 355ml can of soda contains 140 fat and 39 grams of sugar! That is a huge number of sugar!

Would you eat that much sugar by choice? The acknowledge I hope, would be no. The reality is, we can slam down a can of soda in less than 5 minutes and in doing so are drinking 9 teaspoons of sugar.

Common sense dictates this is an unhealthy custom and when trying to lose weight and should be avoided at all costs.

Are They Bad For You?

So what about diet soda? Are diet drinks bad for you? Can they be consumed when you are trying to lose weight?

As most population would do when trying to acknowledge questions such as this, we will 'Google' it. Give it a try! I did and got about 2 million quest results ranging from diet sodas will make you fat, to diet sodas have no succeed at all on weight loss.

So where does that leave the average person who is trying to lose weight? Confused? You Bet!

At a basic level they appear inoffensive to our weight loss efforts, after all it has zero fat and zero sugar. Now, fundamentally weight loss is a straightforward equation of a person using more fat than consumed, forcing your body to burn stored vigor sources such as fat, which results in weight loss.

What The research Tells Us

In terms of how they sway weight loss, theoretically they should be fine because they comprise no sugar or calories. Unfortunately not all is life is that straight forward. When seeing at the research it gets even more confusing, as numerous studies site diet soda as a cause of weight gain whilst others state diet soda will aid weight loss.

Without going into the merits of all of these studies (some of which don't even credit their sources), it is safe to say an conference can be mounted on both sides. It seems, as with a lot of condition and fitness related topics, opinions can be divided.

Probably the most reputable and convincing study that I found was from the San Antonio Heart Study, where there was a direct correlation in the middle of the number of diet soda consumed and an increased opening of weight gain:

Why is Diet Soda Bad For You?

"On average, for each diet soda our participants drank per day, they were 65 percent more likely to become overweight while the next seven to eight years, and 41 percent more likely to become obese," said Sharon Fowler, M.P.H., faculty connect in the department of clinical epidemiology in the condition Science Center's department of medicine."

What the study doesn't tell you is why there is a correlation, in fact the causation for the weight gain is unclear.

In trying to by comparison the results Fowler hypothesizes that: "It may be that normal-weight population in our study whose weight had been addition had switched to diet soda in an endeavor to stop their weight gain," she said. "That's a very real possibility. Someone else is that drinking soda, whether quarterly or diet, is part of a lifelong 'Obey your thirst' nutritional pattern that sets a person up for weight gain later in life. Whatever the case, our results without fail raise more questions than they answer."

But Fowler pointed out whenever person is drinking them, he or she is drinking it to the exclusion of healthier alternatives such as milk, water, or juice. "Can you think of one good thing that comes from a diet soda can for your body? You're giving yourself the taste of nourishment without any at all, so it may be that you then seek it from other foods, such as high-calorie desserts," she said. "Even though you fool your tongue, you don't fool your brain. It is not satisfied. I've seen population plunk down a doughnut and a diet soda on a convenience store counter. What our analyses indicate for sure is that drinking them will not protect a person from the condition effects of the rest of his or her lifestyle."

Personally I believe the study, which was conducted over a long duration of time, involved a wide range of participants within the community. These participants bring with them a range of factors, that were not measured by the study, which could have influenced their weight gain. Factors such as personel health, genetics, wealth, employment, stress and a range of other variables all could have impacted the participants weight gain, not the diet soda alone.

Regardless of the hypothesize why, the study still indicates that drinking diet soda leads to weight gain. Is it conclusive? No! Is it something you should take into notice when trying to lose weight? Definitely?

My Biggest problem with Diet Soda

Fundamentally my biggest issue with diet soda is, you don't know what the hell is in it. It tastes nice and is refreshing, but in it's rawest form it is a bunch of chemicals that have been thought about blended to originate a drink that has beyond doubt no nutritional value.

Common sense tells us that placing unnatural chemicals in our body on a quarterly basis is not a wholesome practice. Dream what it is doing to your insides!

My concept on Diet Soda

Diet versions of sodas are a best choice if you are trying to lose weight, any way it is still unnatural and studies are showing that, whilst we are not sure why, population are still gaining weight challenging diet soda.

Does that mean that a can of diet soda every now and then is going to derail your weight loss plan? No. But what it does mean is, if you are drinking diet soda everyday, mental that you are selecting the healthier option, you are mistaken. You are challenging far too many chemicals for my liking.

In a exquisite world I should be telling you not to drink soda all together. But I won't. Why? Because I'm not perfect, I still enjoy a collective drink and I select to use diet soda as my mixer. I think diet soda to be the lesser of the two evils.

What I can say, is I no longer drink diet soda while the day. If you are drinking diet soda everyday look at cutting back, especially if you are drinking it to quench your thirst. select water instead.

Drop me a commentary below to let me know your thoughts or how diet sodas have affected your weight loss plan (positive or negative)

How to Get Pregnant When You Have fertilization Problems

The median time a fertile woman takes to get pregnant varies from 4 to 6 months. In some cases it can take up to 12 months, and still be a perfectly general case, because there are many factors that play a role in a woman's life.

Interpretation Teeth

If she is passing straight through a difficult situation, and serious problems that are not associated to her reproduction are provoking her anxiety or anger, she doesn't have the important psychological making ready to conceive.

Many times the delay in getting pregnant can be due to a million psychological factors that are associated to other aspects of her life, but that preclude her from getting pregnant.

Whatever happens in the mind, affects the body.

If you are trying to become pregnant but nothing ever happens, and you are worried, believing that you are infertile, or if you already know that you do have problems, and you need treatment, don't worry, because medicine has made a big strengthen in genetics, and it won't be hard for you to ultimately get pregnant as you wish to, if you corollary the guidance of the best experts in the field.

Why should your case be so involved that an expert wouldn't be able to solve it?

Now, if you have already tried many systems, and you are tired of everything, I have an even great clarification for you.

Learn how to translate your dreams according to the scientific formula of dream interpretation, so that you may be able to solve even the most impossible problems, without going anywhere, and without having to corollary any special program, medicine, etc.

You only have to study the dream language, the same way you study any foreign language made only by words. The dream language is made only by images and symbols: even when there are words in a dream, they have a symbolic meaning.

Don't worry if you are lazy and you hate studying, because I have very much simplified the involved scientific formula of dream interpretation discovered by the psychiatrist Carl Jung, and this simplification was based on my experiences curing many people straight through dream translation in a hurry, because they didn't have sufficient time, and they had too many problems. So, my method, derived from Jung's method, is very practical, and very easy to be understood and used by everyone.

Of course, if you are lazy you won't go too far. You have to change, and learn how to study with devotion, because the language you'll study is only the beginning: the most prominent part begins when you already know it, and you start comprehension the guidance of the wise unconscious mind that produces your dreams. This high-priced guidance will give you health, peace, wisdom and happiness.

But are you really going to become a mother using this method? Is it guaranteed?

No, reproduction is not guaranteed using the scientific formula of dream interpretation. What is guaranteed using this formula is only depression and neurosis cure. All things else depends on many correlated factors.

You must begin learning the dream language and caring about learning what your natural doctor has to tell you in your dreams with a very humble and realistic attitude.

Perhaps you really have to accept the fact that you won't be able to ever get pregnant.

If this is the case, the unconscious mind will show you what you have to do in order to find the happiness you desire.

Perhaps for you the best clarification will be an adoption, because your body wouldn't bear a reproduction and the birth of the child. Maybe there is a very special orphan child somewhere, needing a special mother like you, and this child will be a real treasure for you and your husband.

I know that you want to have a child that looks like you and him, and is the continuation of your lives, but this notion is somehow selfish...

The first thing you have to do is to plainly accept the failure, and think that you ignore too much. You don't really know if it would be good for you to have a child. There are so many problematic children, and so many problems between teens and parents... You never know from what kind of experiences you could be saved by not having a child. So, don't complain.

This mindset will be much great for you, because this way you'll stop being the hunter who's always anxious, seeing for the prey. You'll relax, and build a new philosophy of life.

Begin saying that you don't care if you won't be able to become pregnant. You are just trying to find out why you cannot get pregnant and if there is a way to solve the existent problems, so that you may ultimately have the child you desire, if this is really going to be good for you.

When you relax this way and accept the failure, thinking that there are worse things in life, and that if you don't become pregnant this is not the end of the world, you'll be in fact helping yourself get pregnant.

If you live anxiously because you are not pregnant yet, you create psychological obstacles that really turn All things impossible.

Relax, and start caring about your dreams. The unconscious mind is the best doctor you could ever find, and he will show you many things, also teaching you what you have to do in order to get pregnant.

If I was in your place, I would do both: corollary an expert's system, and learn how to translate my dreams.

Why shouldn't you take advantage of all the tools you can have?

When man is climbing a mountain and trying hard to attain the top, they must climb not only with their feet, but also with their nails and their teeth.

Difficult Conversations at Home and Work - How to manage Your Hot Buttons

"Well, if I called the wrong number, why did you sass the phone?" - James Thurber

Interpretation Teeth

Conflict triggers or your "hot buttons" are the emotional responses set off by the words or actions of others during difficult conversations. While it's a base expression to say, "He presses my buttons," or "She's baiting me," your hot buttons say more about you than they do the other person. More often that not in conflict, you comprehend something as bait either or not that's the other person's intention. And when you feel baited, you may act accordingly---sometimes badly.

You feel triggered during disagreement when you comprehend the other person's words or actions as threatening to your identity in some way. base triggers comprise real or perceived threats to your competence, worth, freedom, and sense of being included. Beyond Blame author Jeffrey Kottler suggests that people chomp down on bait as a self-protective mechanism based on past experiences.

Your hot buttons can trip you up in disagreement because they cause you to misinterpret, close down, lash out or take a side trip down the blame road. They also trigger a set of emotional responses that may conduce to escalation. When you're triggered, your brain may perceive what's called a "neural hijacking." The brain perceives a threat, proclaims an urgency and moves into action. This hijacking occurs so speedily that the conscious, reasoning measure of the brain does not yet fully comprehend what's happening. So, you're off and running.

While saying "she presses my buttons" suggests it's the other person's job to stop doing it, only you can conduct your own triggers. Everyone's bait is a little different, so what triggers me may not trigger you. This is why blaming others for baiting you isn't very effective: you waste power expecting them to turn what they're doing, when only you can turn our own reactions.

So, how do you sidestep bait instead of playing the blame game? Here are some productive approaches for identifying, recognizing and managing disagreement triggers.

Begin with what I call "self-work." holding your equilibrium during disagreement is in large part dependent upon the reflective work you do when you're not in conflict. Learn what triggers you and why you're triggered---get back to the source. Kottler's book is an excellent resource to walk you through that process. Skipping this self-work is like building a house without a foundation.Teach yourself alternative responses. Once you are aware of the kinds of words or actions that trigger you and can recognize bait (intended or unintended) when you see it, you're ready to add alternative responses to your repertoire. Robert Bolton's book people Skills is a good resource rich with practical tips.Practice during low-stakes situations. You probably wouldn't take Spanish 101 and then offer your services as an analyst for the U.N. Institution your alternative responses in day-to-day situations with low-stakes outcomes. When the higher-stake disputes arise, you'll be best able to stay balanced and entrance your good skills. In the heat of the moment, stop. Try to note of your physiological state, body language and tone of voice. A "hot face," sweating, loud voice, shaking, tears, and clenched teeth are physiological signals that you're feeling emotionally flooded and advise that you've been triggered. Allow time for your reasoning brain to catch up. Some people teach themselves subtle cues to stop, such as saying "time out," pinching the skin on the inside of their wrist, or taking one little to breathe deeply. Shape out, through experimentation, what works for you.Take a cool-down period, but don't use the time to dwell on your anger or the other person's frustrating behavior. Instead do something to distract yourself entirely for about 20 minutes, the time it typically takes for your emotional flooding to recede.Beware of venting as a regular strategy. While it's a popular notion that venting makes people feel best and helps get the emotional noise out of the way, investigate suggests that if you use this approach repeatedly, the opposite effect occurs. While it may feel good in the moment, venting anger as your normal mode may make you more angry and push your body and brain into a heightened state of anxiety or rage.Copyright © 2004 and 2006 by Tammy Lenski. Botox for Bruxism

While you were having sweet dreams, the someone sleeping beside you may be having nightmares of giant gnawing teeth and snapping jaws from all the noise that you have been bringing about. Are you aware that you may be having Bruxism?

Dream Teeth

Bruxism, which has an unknown cause, is classified as a sleep disorder or a habit. It occurs while sleep or short naps and consists of teeth milling or jaw clenching. Although it is a base sleep disorder, only 5% of bruxers are aware that they have this because of other related symptoms that would need treatment, such as jaw pain. an additional one indication of illness is tooth loss. Due to grinding, the tooth loses its enamel and becomes damaged which will at last lead to tooth loss.

Bruxism may be identified if a someone presents positive signs and symptoms such as jaw pain, headache, eating disorders, anxiety, and stress. It has been noticed that habitancy who sleep with bruxers are the first to come to be aware of this disorder because of the teeth milling or the jaw clenching which becomes loud enough to wake them up at night.

Unfortunately, it is not that easy to diagnose bruxism since the signs and symptoms known to be present in this sleep disorder are also present in other illnesses. Emg or electromyographic determination is the most consistent way to diagnose bruxism. Generally, it is used to measure the frequency and period of clenching episodes. There are three available forms that a client can bring home in order to find out if one has bruxism. The first one uses wires with electrodes to be attached on a client's face while sleeping. However, it is expensive. The second type, which is economy and available for lease, is a headband available commercially with the name Sleepguard. The third one is disposable and is available to clients under the name BiteStrip. However, since it can only be used once, it only measures the severity of bruxism.

Although several treatments are available to alleviate the effects of the symptoms, there is no exact cure for bruxism. However, when related factors are gotten rid of, bruxism may be reduced. One beloved way to lessen the effects of bruxism is the injection of Botox. Yes, the same Botox which is the trend nowadays among celebrities who are not getting any younger. Botox is botulinum toxin, a neurotoxic which is used for curative and cosmetic procedures. It was in the late 1960s that this toxin was discovered to have therapeutic value and has been widely used in the curative field since then because its use results in the decrease or weakening of muscle activity. Since our jaw is being moved by our masseter muscle, this muscle has been the target for Botox injections. Generally, the procedure includes about five injections on both sides of the jaw and is being repeated per year or as the physician would suggest. It's quite costly and new researches on Botox still present adverse effects such as permanent damage to the jaw muscle that is being injected with the toxin which is why it is extremely recommended that habitancy who want to experience Botox injections should coming physicians and have a appropriate check up and a sound curative advice.

3 Things You Must Stop Doing Before Bedtime

Some of the most base pre-bedtime habits are shown to disturb sleep. With millions of habitancy suffering straight through sleepless nights, breaking these habits can convert that. If you are having difficulties falling asleep or staying asleep, you may want to re-thing parts of your nighttime routine.

Dream Teeth

#1: Stop Overeating

Eating a heavy meal can disrupt your potential to fall asleep, or will wake you up shortly after you fall asleep. Some base issues that arise from over eating is waking up with indigestion or heartburn. But even if you are not with bodily discomfort, heavy meals may be disrupting your sleep.

Food requires power to be digested, and expending power can keep you from sleeping soundly. As a normal rule, it will be wise to avoid too many ingredients in a meal and too much food late at night. Here are some foods to avoid close to bedtime:

· Bacon
· Chocolate
· Eggplant
· Ham
· Potatoes
· Sauerkraut
· Sugar
· Sausage, and
· Refined carbohydrates

These foods consist of tyramine, which increases the issue of norepinephrine, a brain stimulant.

Our digestive theory slows at night. So, it is harder to digest late meals.

#2: Stop Fighting

No one likes to be or feel angry, it's just not a great feeling and fighting of policy doesn't feel very good either.

When we are angry, hurt or commonly stirred-up, our muscle tense, we grind our teeth or clench our teeth which lead to jaw ache. We may touch ringing in the ears, flushing, chest pains, inordinate sweating, chills, severe headaches or migraines.

None of the above of policy contributes to your peace of mind and therefore potential of sleep. So, do something about it! You can resolve to resolve your disagreement before you get to bed even if it's at the cost of sleeping fewer hours that night. At least you'll sleep good and wake up happier.

#3: Stop Watching Television

Ok, this is a tough one. For most of us, television is inseparable from our evening routine. But have you determined what you are watching and how it can work on your sleep?

While you are watching the screen, your brain operation is high. The images and stories you watch evoke an emotional response. With so much violence portrayed on television, with most shows showcasing turmoil and pain, you are allowing this data into your life as part of your reality.

It is time you reevaluate your list of shows, and know that you are occasion yourself up to unsolicited data and images. Take control of what you feed your brain. And if you think you are not affected, please reconsider.

With less or a good list of television shows, you will find it is easier to fall asleep, stay asleep, and your dreams will not be disrupted by the replay of nightmare you watched before you went to bed.

These three habits - too much food, too much fighting and too much television - can all ruin the potential of your sleep. And without permissible sleep, your potential of life is in question. Sleep is an critical part of good health and happiness.

All habit changes take a merge of weeks to be accepted, so it may take some getting used-to. But what can be more foremost than meeting your body's basic need to rest and rejuvenate?

On the inescapable Side

Historically, the focus of all psychotherapies has been on curing assorted forms of thinking disturbances, together with maladaptive behavior, cognitive distortions, personality disorders, chemical imbalances, genetic predisposition, and so on. For the most part, the assorted psychotherapeutic approaches focus on ameliorating discomfort, re-structuring the personality or re-educating an individual, and changing maladaptive idea processes or behavior, in order that an personel might live a happier and more fulfilling life. ordinarily speaking, this coming follows what might be called a disease or prognosis model. Similar to most of Western medicine, it focuses on what's wrong with an individual, seeking to remedy a disease or problem.

Interpretation Teeth

However, rehabilitation is undergoing a transformation in which the focus is more on disease arresting and health maintenance than only curing disease when it occurs. Researchers are investigating the value of vitamin supplements, acupuncture, nutrients, herbal medicine, fiber, exercise, meditation, and spirituality, to name but a few approaches to disease prevention. Homeopathic remedies are being viewed in a new light for the first time since the discovery of penicillin. As our life expectancy increases, we want to live healthier lives not just longer lives.

A similar transformation is taking place in the field of thinking health. Sigmund Freud was reputed to have said, "The role of psychoanalysis is to ameliorate people's neurosis and leave them with the general unhappiness of life." Now, I don't know how true this attribution is, but I do know that for generations of thinking health professionals the focus has been on psychopathology. With the irregularity of a group of psychologists during the late 1960's and early 70's, led by Abraham Maslow, Carl Rogers, and other proponents of what was referred to as the human potentials movement, most practitioners focused what was wrong with people's lives. all from substance abuse, to compulsive masturbation, to over-eating, has been viewed as a disease or illness.

An American Psychological connection president, Dr. Martin Seligman, called upon psychologists to focus on a safe bet psychology that can improve people's lives. He challenged us to use psychology to improve the potential of lives straight through health-strengthening the immune system to ward off disease. It is time to look for ways to prevent disease, as well as psychological disturbances. We should be examining strengths and seeing ways to improve these strengths, rather than focusing exclusively on weakness.

One of the problems inherent in this model, however, is that assurance companies, more often than not, pay when you are sick, not for prevention. This model military practitioners to look for "what's wrong" with the personel in order to come up with a reimbursable diagnosis. Most assurance companies, for example, do not reimburse for marriage counseling. Yet we know that unhappiness in marriage can manifest itself in corporal illness, depression, loss of work, inability to focus, and so. We know that with psychological intervention habitancy will lose less time from work, spend fewer days in the hospital, have fewer commercial accidents, make fewer visits to their physician; and, In short, there will be an increase in productivity, and in the long-run costs to individuals and businesses will be reduced.

Psychology and Your potential of Life

Let us take a look at a few of the ways psychology can improve the potential of our lives.

Physical health

We can do anything is necessary to build up and reinforce our immune system so that it will resist disease. We can thought about watch our diet, get adequate exercise, learn about vitamin supplements, nutraceuticals, health supplements, etc.; normally check our blood-chemistry, vital signs, and other physiological processes straight through at least yearly physicals; and even learn how to monitor ourselves before illness strikes.

If illness should befall us, we can still focus on improving the natural medical properties inherent to our bodies. psychology has taught us that visualizations, meditation, spirituality, and auto-hypnosis can improve our immune system and help us become more unyielding to disease. habitancy with a safe bet outlook on life, a safe bet self-image, and high self-esteem have fewer illnesses and recover more fast from them than do those who are de-pressed, negative, and have low self-esteem. It has been demonstrated that a brief hypnotic session with a psychologist can even decrease the distance of post-surgery hospital stays.

Personal Growth

Psychologists have found that many psychological problems of daily life are largely a function of inappropriate trust systems and maladaptive behavioral patterns. The world as it is per-ceived and interpreted by a child is very distinct than the world perceived and experienced by an adult. Yet, many adult beliefs are formed by the perceptions and interpretations developed in childhood. Many maladaptive behaviors were designed to help the personel deal with a world that was painful, confusing, and frightening. The behaviors mitigated some of the pain, leaving the personel feeling more in control, less frightened, and less pained. But as the years passed, these behaviors became less and less constructive. They stopped serving their primary purpose, leaving the personel stuck with the effects. Over-eating, for example, may have been the child's way of coping with the anxi-ety of living in a dysfunctional family or feeling insecure living in a world that s/he could not control. Food soothes that feeling. The world that was fantastic to a child may not be so fantastic to an adult. However, once the child learns that food can assuage feeling of discomfort, it becomes the formula of choice for dealing all sorts of anxiety.

Psychologists can help individuals alter their trust systems and produce new, more efficient ways of coping with discomfort. Furthermore, these same approaches can help individuals modify their trust systems and produce new behaviors for improving their life, much as a sports coach might help your tennis or golf game. By pointing out what behaviors are interfering with your stroke, a coach can help you produce new behaviors to improve your game. In fact, many psychologists are consulting with individuals in the capacity of ""life coach"" rather than ""psychotherapist-pist.""

Emotional Health

People often sense life as a series of emergencies demand-ing immediate and intense reactions. This constant state of reactivity plays havoc with one's emotional world, not to mention the effects on one's body each time we call for mobilization. It is emotionally and physically exhausting. For these people, life is a series of calamities. Every event is met with 100% emotional response. They seldom become "somewhat annoyed," but rather they become "enraged." Every ding on their car becomes a major event. What these habitancy do is to exaggerate the magnitude of the event to fit the intensity of their emotional reaction when they should be reducing their emotional reaction to fit the event. In terms of intensity of reaction, for these individuals, receiving a traffic label is the same as being mugged.

Another common tendency is for habitancy to enduringly put in order for real or imagined danger. They are always in a state of "ready alert," perceiving and expecting danger in every interaction. They are always scanning their environment in a state of hyper-vigilance. At some point in their pasts, these individuals learned to realize the world broadly as an unsafe place, so to stop and "smell the roses" is anathema. They cannot dream letting down their guard lest they be harmed.

Psychologists can help individuals with such issues by examining the trust system upon which their behaviors are predicated. For instance, the individuals might learn to value the magnitude event in terms of its importance. By using a one-to-ten scale, where ten is reserved for life threatening diseases or accidents, each event is rated. If a someone is late for an appointment, for example, relative to studying a loved one has concluding brain cancer, the tardiness may receive a value of "1." Therefore, the magnitude of the reaction should be on the level of "1" as well. By studying to adjust their reactions to fit the event, rather than the other way around, they learn to get more operate over their emotional lives.

The psychologist might help the personel to understand the relative probability of an event occurring as well as the potential to deal with it. For the most part, this personel carries with him the trust that he would not be able to cope with most situations unless totally prepared. He might be operating in the world similar to a helpless child for whom life itself looms as an ever-present danger. By examining the basis for such a trust system, this personel can be helped to originate a more realistic estimation of danger.

Achieving Balance

A key element in having a more fulfilling life, with fewer psycho-logical concerns, is to accomplish balance. studying how to equilibrium the assorted aspects of your life - career, marriage, children, spouse, society involvement, spiritual life, collective life, recreation, corporal health - is not an easy task. Most habitancy reduce at least one aspect. Some habitancy drop any of these areas al-together. Others are franticly trying to juggle all of them, often not enjoying any.

So, how do we accomplish balance? The first step is to value your expectations. Then value your circumstances and abilities. It is important to realistically appraise your situation. value what we can and cannot do. value the level of involvement with which you are capable of participating in the assorted areas of our lives. While you may wish to be president of the parents connection while raising two pre-schoolers and retention down a full time job, it may be more approved to think being on a committee that meets once a month. You can still be involved, but the degree of involvement must be modified to fit out life situation. Rather than having no hobbies because of time constraints, we might think having a less demanding hobby - one that is relaxing as well as fulfilling.

Achieving equilibrium requires planning. Just as construction a house or developing a business requires a blueprint or a business plan, so does a balanced life. It requires that you do your homework, realistically designing how you are going to produce a balanced plan for living. Just as architects are able to produce approved housing plans for your home, many psychologists are quite adept at developing life plans with individuals. Most habitancy have tiny mystery obtaining architectural or business consultation, but they believe they should be experts when it comes to life plans.

Marriage Enhancement

Psychologist, Dr. Judith S. Wallerstein, co-author of The Good Marriage: How and Why Love Lasts, carried out in-depth inter-views with 50 couples who have been married at least nine years, had children together, and independently and who independently regarded their marriage as happy. Dr. Wallerstein identified nine "psychological tasks" as the pillars on which any marital connection rests. The following are Dr. Wallerstein's nine tasks:

o detach emotionally from one's childhood so as to invest fully in the marriage and, at the same time, to redefine the lines of connection with both families of origin.

o Build togetherness based on mutual identification, shared intimacy and an wide conscience that includes both partners, while at the same time setting boundaries to pro-tect each partner's autonomy.

o produce a rich and pleasurable sexual connection and to safe it from the incursions of the workplace and family obligations; it is the second part of this task which must not be overlooked or taken for granted.

o (for couples with children) Embrace the daunting roles of parenthood and to suck in the impact of Her Majesty the Baby's dramatic entrance into the marriage. At the same time the consolidate must continue the work of protecting their own privacy.

o Confront and expert the safe bet crises of life and sound the power of the marital bond in the face of adversity and originate a safe haven within the marriage for the expression of difference, anger and conflict.

o Use humor and laughter to keep things in perspective and to avoid boredom and isolation.

o contribute nurturance and relax to each other, satisfying each partner's need for dependency and offer persisting encouragement and support.

o Keep alive the romantic, idealized images of falling in love, while facing the sober realities of the changes wrought by time.

Dr. Wallerstein's tasks are not easy. To accomplish them requires that each spouse be committed to improving their marriage and development it work. In addition, they wish that each spouse be equally committed to their own personal increase as well as the increase of their partner. The preservation and enhancement of the marriage partnership must be a top priority.

Stress management

Stress is the body's adaptive response to unusual circumstances and can come from internal and external sources. Prolonged, intense stress can and often does have deleterious effects on mind and body. It can sway the immune system development us vulnerable to high blood pressure, ulcers, and heart disease. It can sway our judgment, our perceptions, our interpersonal relation-ships, and our job performance. Some habitancy are more prone to sense stress than others. For example, habitancy who have mystery accepting turn or being out of operate have higher stress levels than those who are adaptive and accepting of the contingencies of life. Psychotherapy is often helpful in dealing with persisting stress reactions and post-traumatic stress disorders. Meditation, yoga, relaxation techniques, exercise, and hobbies can ameliorate temporary stress reactions and can be helpful in preventing stress reactions if practiced regularly.

There are any common activities that are beneficial in reducing or coping with transitory, situational stress. These techniques, when applied regularly, can significantly reduce or soften the brunt of the stress reaction to temporary events.

Relaxation techniques. There are many distinct forms of relaxation techniques together with auto-hypnosis, progressive muscle relaxation, and some forms of yoga. One that I have found helpful combines any aspects of these approaches:

Start by seating yourself in a comfortable position in a quiet area. Loosen your clothing so that you do not feel constricted in any way. Close your eyes and squeeze them shut as tight as you can. Progressively move from one muscle group to another, teeth and jaw, neck, shoulders, arms, fists, chest, back, thighs, buttocks, calves, and feet. Tighten each in turn until your whole body is tight. Then relax one group at time, feeling the discrepancy between the tight sense and the relaxed experience. notice the tingling or what ever sensation you have. Just notice it, don't do anything about it. And as you relax each area, focus on your breathing. Breathe gently and rhythmically until your whole body relaxes. Finally, dream yourself in a location that you find especially relaxing, safe, and comfortable. For some people, it might be a secluded beach, for others a mountain lake. Each of us has our own place. Once you have the image in mind, make it as clear as you can, roughly as though you are there. Let your thoughts go, don't try to capture them or block them; just let them go by like so many butterflies fluttering. Stay in your "place" for five or ten minutes and then gently remind yourself to come back to gift time or home. gently open your eyes and gently re-orient yourself. This coming takes about 15 to 20 minutes. You should feel refreshed when you are through.

Deep Breathing. Deep breathing has long been known to have relaxing properties. All forms of yoga, athletic exercises, and meditation have a breathing component. Oxygen itself tends to revitalize; it both energizes and relaxes as we cleanse our system. Breathing exercises are simple. Sitting quietly, breathe in as deeply as you can straight through your nose and exhale straight through your mouth expelling all of the air. Repeat this three times. Then, focusing your attention on your breathing, breathe in gently straight through your nose and exhale straight through your mouth. Breathe rhythmically. Repeat this ten times. You will notice the difference.

Physical exercise. Of all form of exercise, aerobic practice in particular, has relaxation qualities. Getting oxygen into your blood stream, releasing stored toxins in your body straight through sweat, and expanding the production and release of endorphins into your blood stream will have a calming effect on your whole system. That is one of the reasons so many habitancy are participating in these forms of practice over the nation.

Signs We're in a stepping back - From the Pet's Perspective

Dogs don't fret about interest rates on reputation cards. Cats certainly couldn't care less about whose name is on the home deed - they know they own the place. But even pets are feeling the bite of this lousy economy.

Healthy Teeth

"Pets don't care if the stock store is run by a bear or a bull - or a ferret," says Arden Moore, pet master and host of "Oh Behave!" on Pet Life Radio.com. "They don't care if they live with Bill Gates or a plumber named Joe. They just want good chow, comfy napping spots, and our attention."

Let presidential contenders decipher how the stock store slide, foreclosures, and bank closings take a toll on people. Moore is here for the four-leggeds - especially after noticing these economic indicators impacting the world of pampered pets:

1. You still sneak in your itty-bitty dog to watch Beverly Hills Chihuahua, but (gasp) you opt for the matinee instead of the evening show.
2. You try to fool your canine chowhound by switching from superior meaty treats to cheaper, wheat-filled biscuits, but the (canine) nose knows.
3. You try to fool your cat by mixing sand from the local beach into the unscented industrial litter in the box - giving a new meaning to a bout with crabs.
4. You skip your dog's grooming appointment by adopting a Diy attitude that results in your Bichon finding more like a bug-eyed owl in a windstorm.

"It's true that most dog breeds live to have a job, but I don't see them becoming

the house breadwinner any time soon," notes Moore, the author of 20 books on pets. "These days, we need to be smarter than ever on how we unleash our dollars."

In response, she offers a pet-pleasing plan - Moore's Money Tips for Pets:

Don't turn your pet into a clothes horse. If you must dress up your pet - and she approves - limit her outfits to three. Dogs don't care if they wear the same collar, cape, or hat on more than one occasion.

Do be down in the mouth. Brush your dog or cat's teeth at least two times a week, using toothpastes and brushes designed for pets, and say bye-bye to doggy breath. These at-home dental items are minor in cost compared to a expert dental cleaning that ranges in cost in the middle of 0 and 0.

Bypass the doggy bakery. Save money by honing your pet chef skills. Make wholesome homemade treats in big batches - store the extras in the freezer. Add carrots and green beans to your dog's chow in the bowl to help him feel full on less kibble. Estimated each year savings: 0.

Score bargains at reduction and storage stores. Save a few pennies to a few dollars by buying litter, leashes, bowls, beds, and treats at places that primarily cater to two-leggeds, such as Wal-Mart, Target, and Costco, instead of pet provide stores or pet boutiques. Estimated each year savings: 0.

Purchase pet insurance. Pet owners need to get ready for the unexpected. It is far less expensive to buy guarnatee when your pets are young. Moore's Golden Retriever/Husky mix, Chipper, underwent a delicate rectal surgical procedure, and her procedure covered 80 percent of the 0 procedure.

Moore's parting advice: "Pets are our priceless allies. Remember, doggy kisses and full-throttle cat purrs are all the time free."

Reading Emotions through Body Language

Effective communication does not just mean knowing the right words to say. Emotions and body language also play a very foremost role in getting your message across. In fact, body language says a lot about what you're feeling and mental as of the moment. Habitancy who are transparent could get themselves in trouble.

Interpretation Teeth

Most Hollywood celebrities and salespeople have already perfected the technique of holding a poker face and staying still in the midst of a major hurdle (as with the case of gossip-ridden movie stars) or if they are being told something quite contrary to their point (as with Habitancy in the sales industry).

However, most of us do not have this skill of controlling our reactions to events and things said. Thus, knowing how to read a person's emotions based on his or her body language and gestures is foremost for productive communications. Not only will this knowledge be able to help you rise above the pack, but also keep your nose clean.

How do you know if somebody is anxious, angry, happy, surprised, or sad by judging only his body movements? Here are some ways you can read emotions by observing body language.

If a person is happy he...

- smiles a lot. We might even find him doing a puny skip as he walks.

- has relaxed facial muscles and fluid movements

- hums or sings to himself

If a person is anxious he...

- has a pale face and dry lips

- starts perspiring profusely

- fidgets a lot and has shifty eyes

- keeps shaking his leg or tapping his foot

- makes sudden movements after a while of being still

- stutters

If a person is angry he...

- pounds his fist on the table and uses a loud voice to speak

- clenches his fist and leans send when talking to you

- bares his teeth and appears to be snarling as he talks

- has tense muscles

If a person is surprised he...

- suddenly opens his mouth (hence, the expression 'my jaw dropped')

- suddenly takes a step back

- widens his eyes or clamps his hand over his mouth

If a person is sad he...

- has trembling lips

- is not able to look you straight in the eye and sometimes even has tears forming

- slumps his body

- uses a rather flat or weak tone of voice

These are only a few of the indicators of the key emotions any human being feels. Some might even overlap. For instance, a person with shifty eyes may be whether lying or just nervous; so, in order for you to effectively explicate what he is feeling, you have to take the context of the conversation in point.

When you think about it, part of body language reading is skill and part is sensitivity. There beyond doubt is no clear-cut rule as to what kind of body language pertains to what emotion, but there are general signals that can be found in most people.

In short, reading body language does not take knowledge of rocket science. Because body language is part of daily living, anyone who does not exhibit any kind of body language is considered wooden, as with a mannequin that has just one expression and pose all throughout. Because we are humans, we succumb to our emotions sometimes. And it is through body language that we transport messages that we don't have the courage to say out loud.

Art of transportation and How to Engage in It

If we are to have Any hope whatsoever in being able to open the heart, then the very first requirement is to learn the art of communication, not only the spoken and written word, but also, and even more importantly, the unspoken communication! Why should transportation be so important? Because transportation is the very essence of relationships! And in dealing with relationships, by Far the most important form of transportation is the Unspoken kind! Why?

Interpretation Teeth

Consider the warmth in the eyes, or the gentleness of a smile! Both say infinitely more than words can ever express, for the straightforward imagine that both are Acts of the heart. The fact is that words, although they Can be an expression of the heart, and although speaking is an act in its own right, even the most sincere words are but the expression of an Intent that may or may not be materialized, and, as such, cannot truly be trusted until Enacted! And therefore even in Unspoken transportation the rule holds good, in that Actions do speak louder than words!

Therefore you can look into a stranger's eyes in a supermarket and feel fully uplifted by the warmth radiating from that person's eyes, for it is an act that is at once pure and innocent!

And yet if that same someone were to walk over to you and say, "I feel warmth towards you," you would be fully justified in being extremely suspicious of the Syn. Clearness and innocence of that person's motives! Likewise can you smile at a stranger in a supermarket and feel utterly uplifted by the warmth of an innocent response! Yet if you were to jaunt over to that same person, and say, "Hi! I just wanted to talk your presence," you should expect whether a suspicious glare in response, or alternatively a extremely seductive response along the lines of, "Well, yes! I like you too! Shall we change phone numbers? (Wink! Wink!)"

The point is, Unspoken communication, or more precisely, actions of the Heart speak for themselves, whereas words are branch to the interpretation of the Mind of both the speaker and the addressee! I wanted to point this out because far too many citizen still take zero accountability for whether their Verbal or Unspoken communication, and whilst this remains in corollary they will make no real advance in studying to open the heart!

I cannot possibly ever over-emphasize the importance of the Art of communication, for an art it is indeed, rather than the Right so many citizen misguidedly believe it to be, and just like Any art, it has to be learned and mastered! So if you are wanting to learn to open your hearts, then discard the Idea that transportation gives you the right to levy your self-image and your view of the world upon others!

True transportation is a far cry from verbal abuse! And by verbal abuse I am Not referring to pointing out to someone who is being an arsehole the Truth in no uncertain terms, but rather am I talking about the insincere and vague and ambiguous form of transportation that only serves to confuse, that leads citizen up the orchad path, and that causes Uncertainty, or at best gives a False impression! Therefore, to the warrior, transportation is a sacred art, an art that enables him or her to build honest and meaningful relationships in the upliftment of life, and to this end the warrior will only ever speak from the Heart. When one speaks from the heart reaction is naturally not possible, for the heart knows Not how to lie, and so every word from the heart is an Act of truth, rather than the Lies possible within reaction, no matter whether that reaction is good or bad, unavoidable or negative.

You may well ask how to achieve this, but it unquestionably is not all that difficult to start practicing! Practicing the art of transportation is more a question of Choice, rather than a technical difficulty to be mastered! Consequently we whether choose to speak our Minds, or else we choose to Not-Do in trying to listen to and then attempting to speak our hearts!

Therefore, mastering the art of communication, as opposed to Practicing it, is unquestionably a technical difficulty to be overcome as one slowly and sequentially learns to open the heart! But what I am endeavoring to recap here is that one does not have to have the heart fully open in order to start practicing the art of communication! On the contrary, it is only by practicing and thereby steadily mastering the art of transportation that we learn to open the heart! And to this effect, the only real requirement in studying the art of transportation is the straightforward willingness to recap in both a Purpose-Full as well as a Meaning-Full way, rather than seeing upon transportation as an excuse to speak our Minds! Therefore, in practicing the art of transportation you only ever have to ask yourself one question, namely, what is my Motive for communicating?

In other words, do you want to state your Mind, whether this be with a smile, a comment, a statement or a question? Or do you wish to learn to listen to your Heart and then to Give Expression to that truth, again, no matter whether this be through the medium of a smile or verbalization! Stating your mind, speaking your mind, and giving someone a piece of your mind, is never life-supportive, and neither does it encourage and enhance in the other someone the willingness to respond, but instead it invariably causes that someone to whether fall quiet and to withdraw, or else it causes him or her to feel Justified in reacting! Although in speaking from your heart there is no warrant that the other someone will not still react, yet if he or she does react, he or she, deep down inside, will know that the reaction is naturally Not true to the interaction taking place. Bringing an additional one someone to face the truth, whether he or she wishes to admit it or not, Is an action that is life-supportive!

But what is even worse than speaking one's mind, is How questions are asked! To demonstrate what is meant by this, let us look at the example of, let us say, two attorneys, both of whom are very good litigators!

Now although litigation is an excellent skill to have as an attorney in the courtroom, where citizen are very likely lying through their teeth in order to save their wretched skins, and is most right on an extremely primary skill of the warrior learned through the Art of Stalking, yet in building relationships it is an utterly Disastrous tool to use! The imagine for this is because there is a vast distinction between asking someone to tell you about their new home, as opposed to asking him why he did, or is doing, this or the other!

In the first case you are Encouraging the someone implicated to open up and to share! In the second you are, by implication, putting the someone implicated into the role of the Defendant with you being the prosecutor! But if you are in the role of prosecutor you cannot possibly expect the defendant to rush up to you, throw his arms colse to you and tell you how much he trusts your motive and how much he loves you! :) Your motive for being the prosecutor is Clear, is it not? So, my point is, unless it Is your motive to put the someone implicated into the hot-seat for anything reason, then take care in How you ask your questions so as to En-Courage the other someone to open up and to share!

Remember, friendship is an Act of the Heart, and it starts with the Unspoken transportation radiating from the under-standing eyes and the gentleness of a warm smile!

Dreams - Do They Have a Meaning?

There are too many recorded incidents to dismiss dreams as mere 'vestiges of the day' that get projected on the silver screen of the mind at night. For example, dreams have foretold impending deaths, saved habitancy from determined fatalities, helped solve complex problems, helped achieve some splendid discoveries and inventions and have even turned the fortunes of many.

Dream Teeth

Our own feel also points to the fact that, at times, dreams do try to tell us something vital or important, but we are unable to perceive them. The question is that dreams don't speak our lingo. They speak in symbols and wish approved knowledge of dream interpretation or a competent dream scholar for interpretation.

In my years of feel in interpreting dreams, I have gained some immense insights into the meanings and workings of dreams. There are many, who claim that they don't dream. We all do, only many of us don't remember them on waking up.

Let us see some tasteless dreams that most of us have dreamt at some point in our lives:

- Exam dreams: either we are great in studies or less than median performers, we cannot deny having had those terrifying test dreams. These run something like this: We are unable to reach the test hall and the clock is ticking away; our pen just refuses to work; we just don't seem to perceive the query paper or recall the answers...the variations are endless. Fortunately, such dreams are not related to examinations at all. They propose that we are being tested or scrutinised in some way in our waking lives. These may also be related to our self-esteem and trust or the lack of it.

- Chase dreams: Who has not broken into a cold sweat running scared from an assailant or a murderous mob in dreams? Howsoever fast we ran, the pursuer all the time seemed to catch up. At the exact moment of getting caught, we woke up with a start! Although these dreams can arise from an actual fear of being attacked, they often stem from our feelings of anxiety in waking life. These dreams indicate avoidance or running away from some unpalatable situation, rather than confronting it. These dreams are more tasteless in women due to their physical vulnerability.

- Naked dreams: Turning crimson with embarrassment on looking ourselves completely or partially naked in public in our dreams commonly leaves us unsettled on waking up. Such dreams are often a reflection of our lack of trust or self-esteem in real life. We may be hiding something and are afraid that others might contemplate it by looking right straight through us. Nudity also symbolises our fear of getting caught or exposed in something that we have done. This dream can have variations, which can range from embarrassment to feeling proud about your nakedness in public. Each, of course, has separate interpretation.

- Falling dreams: practically all of us have experienced getting scared out of our wits while plunging down from dizzying heights in our dreams. No whole of convincing can rid us of the fear that we will not assuredly die if we do not wake up before we hit the ground! Falling can be of two types - one when we wake up alarmed before we hit the ground, the other when we do a soft landing, slowing just before the point of impact. Both have separate interpretations. Generally, falling is an indication of insecurity, instability and anxiety. Such dreams occur when we feel overwhelmed and out of control in some situation in our waking lives.

- Dreams of losing teeth: Dreams of falling teeth are quite common. These may take the form of teeth crumbling in our hands or falling out one by one with just a light tap. Such dreams not only horrify and shock us, but often leave us with a lasting image. It was concept that such dreams represented malnutrition, which may have been true for some dreamers. Actually, such dreams reflect our anxiety about appearance and how others perceive us. Don't we all fall for that dazzling smile! Teeth are used for biting and chewing and report power. To dream of losing teeth indicates powerlessness in some current situation.

Alas, dreams are assuredly not exiguous to these themes. Just anything can be encountered in the windows of our mind. We are sometimes left perplexed by the very nature of our dreams - Why did I see a snake in my dream? What was my long lost friend, whom I had forgotten, doing in my dream? What was that woman, whom I had met only once, getting excited about in my dream? How did I by comparison this mind-boggling question so plainly and accurately in my dream? The dream content is infinite.

All dream imagery is symbolic. Each dream fastener is person specific. In other words, what a fastener represents for one person can have an entirely separate meaning for another. This is the infer why dream dictionaries commonly prove useless. Of course, a tasteless streak runs straight through all symbols, but they have to be interpreted in the context of the dream content.

But, if you can report the changes happening in your life to the kind of dreams you are dreaming, you can assuredly take a step towards comprehension the meaning. It will help you immensely by putting your mind at ease.

So, don't let your dreams go waste, you never know what you will unravel. Great opportunities and fortunes await those who are able to by comparison their dreams.

Radical Minds and needful Thinkers

Several months ago while a casual conversation, I was described by man as being a radical.

Interpretation Teeth

When he first said it I didn't know either I should laugh or be offended. It never quite dawned on me until then that my standing up against spiritual homophobia, writing a gay spiritual book and producing and hosting a national black gay Tv talk show would qualify me for radical status, but apparently in the minds of some it has.

Prior to this singular conversation, my reasoning belief of radicalism or the word radical represented outdated images of white women burning their bras in protest of whatever male dominated or population chaining themselves to century old oak trees.

So now I asked myself, what exactly is a radical? Is it man who marches down the street shouting, screaming, and decrying the injustices of the day? Or is it man who commits outrageous acts of protest capturing his/her 3 minutes of fame on the evening news?

And how exactly does a radical mind think? Does it wake up every morning considered to rock the boat of society? Or does a radical mind intentionally try to kick in the front teeth of the status quo just for kicks?

In reality I believe that the face, the voice, and the causes of radicalism are as diverse as mankind itself. After giving much belief and investigate on the matter, I now have a much stronger understanding of what is and what is not a radical or radicalism.

Standing up for oneself does not necessarily make one a radical. Even standing up against an entire practice or society (i.e homophobic church or heterosexual majority) doesn't all the time make one a radical either. The act of standing up is but one component of radicalism.

Screaming, shouting, and protesting the injustices of the day does not make one a radical either. Although America still vividly remembers the 1960's Civil ownership and Vietnam War images of protests as clear examples of radicalism, I legitimately counter that marching down a city street, chaining oneself to a tree or a building isn't exactly a definition of radicalism but more of a symbolic act of it.

After deeper analysis, I have come to the windup that what makes one a radical are the following components:

1. When a man mentally and emotionally rejects all that they know to be true about their existing reality, existing life and of the existing society which surround them and then begins to critically think and re-think all things that has been programmed into them (i.e homophobia, racism, sexism, etc); this becomes the first major step towards radicalism.

You see, radical minded population daily reject the status quo and express their lives accordingly. Even further, although they may respect authority, radical minded population still inquire its use and/or misuse. But most importantly, radical minded population are important thinkers.

Radicals just don't wake up one morning and settle to overthrow a government. It often takes many years of self-analysis, reflection, prayer, meditation, dialogue, and investigate before the ultimate stand against the status quo legitimately occurs. Hence, important analysis is a major key to becoming a radical.

2. Radical minded population seek personal freedoms, either it's the freedom to own property, to vote, marry, run for communal office, or to way communal services. The act of being denied, restrained, impaired, or hindered is the octane fuel which drives the race of freedom. Hence, radicalism is driven by the inherent desire to be free.

Examples of past American concepts of radicalism contain the abolitionist movement, feminism struggle, civil ownership era, and now the gay ownership fight for equal security as well as the right and the freedom to marry.

Just as slaves did not have any personal freedoms, women did not have the right to vote, and any generations later blacks were still fighting for full equality under the U.S. Constitution; the theme which runs similar in all of these instances is "freedom." The desire to be free. Further, radical minded population not only seek their own personal freedoms, they also seek freedoms for others even at the cost of retaliation against themselves.

3. Contrary to popular belief, radical minded population are legitimately very sick person people. communal movements can take many years to build and to execute. A true radical understands that revolutions and evolutions within society do not occur overnight or within the next calendar year.

Hence, radical minded population are strategic thinkers as well as important thinkers. They strategically and critically correlate the communal changes which must take place and then move transmit in multiple ways, methods, and fashions to perform it.

4. Finally, radical minded population understand that it legitimately isn't about them per se, but instead they recognize and understand that its about allowing a greater power, a greater plan, and a greater pathway to flow though their existence into a glorious fruition.

Radical minded population accept that they might not legitimately reap the total rewards and benefits of their efforts, but instead understand that each and every generation which follows them will. Thus radicals are the communal architects which build, construct, and solidify a new world order for the entirety of mankind.

So when I reflect upon this interpretation of what it means to be a radical and in my case, a gay radical, then I proudly sign up for the label and all that goes with it. To be the convert that is needed, to be catalyst which ignites, and to be the finger of the hand of God which moves its divine will throughout the policy of time is more than adequate payoff for me. So I'm hanging on for the ride!

Which Water treatment Products Will Best safe Your Health?

Let's face it, not all water treatment products are created equal.  And granted any filter is best than no filter, it still makes sense to get a quality one, since you're going to spend the money on one anyways.  Here's an idea as to what kind of water treatment products work best.

Healthy Teeth

The majority of experts believe that drinking water should be free of harmful contaminants but still include trace amounts of beneficial minerals like calcium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, and iron.

This is the kind of water that the human species has been living off of for millions of years.  In fact, these trace amounts of minerals keep our teeth and bones strong, and also play an prominent role in digestion and nutrient-absorption.

Since this is the case, water treatment products that use reverse osmosis or distillation are not ideal for home use.  These are more excellent for the photo, printing, and medical fields because their tool requires wholly particle-ridden water.

To effectively remove as many contaminants as possible, it's best to use water treatment products that use a multi-step or multi-stage filtration process.  You look at the ones that only include one type of filter, and it's roughly certain that inefficiencies will exist.  The fact of the matter is, distinct kinds of contaminants wish distinct methods of filtration.

For example, a sediment prefilter will only be able to remove sediment, chlorine, and particles that cause cloudiness, bad taste, and odor in water.  More involved methods like sub micron and carbon block filtration need to be used to get rid of more difficult contaminants like synthetic chemicals (Vocs and Socs), cysts, and other chlorine-resistant organisms.

Ion transfer is a rather new method of filtration.  To enhance the nutritional value of drinking water, ion transfer removes harmful lead ions and replaces them with healthy potassium ions.

Now there are two basic kinds of multi-stage water treatment products you can get.  One is a whole house system.  This is assure that all your sinks, showers, washers, and even dishwashers will be fed clean, filtered water.  This is the more expensive type, but it literally has the widest range of benefits.  change one filter every 2-3 years and your done.

The other kind is a point-of-use filter.  These attach right to your faucet or shower head.  My family and I currently have these kind of water treatment products.  One is on our kitchen faucet, and the other two are on our showers.  And I literally love them.

What made us so certain in our buy was the fact that all the claims made about these water treatment products were backed up by certified documentation from reliable and trustworthy exterior sources.  Now for just pennies a day, we are able to assure that the water we drink and bathe in is safe, pure, and healthy.  I assuredly propose them to anyone seeing for a sense of security when it comes to avoiding dangers of water contamination.

Dream Interpretation - The strangeness of Dreams - Symbols Indicating Danger - The Spider

Our dreams are strange and mysterious because they consequent a logic that is totally different from the logic of our human conscience and their language is also totally different from the languages we are used to. We are used to languages made with words, while our dreams' language is made with images, sensations and feelings.

Dream Teeth

The dreams have an author: the wise unconscious mind, which is wise and has a saintly character. This is an organ that doesn't belong to the human being - it is given to him by a first-rate human conscience that has reached perfection and could be named God.

The facts and the guidance you have in dreams is all the time protective. The unconscious mind is all the time trying to safe your reasoning condition from the attacks of the anti-conscience, the wild side of your conscience, which is primitive, violent and evil. It lives constantly trying to destroy the human side of your conscience straight through craziness in order to operate your behavior, and this is why the unconscious mind lives constantly protecting your human side, sending you incommunicable messages in a symbolic form, so that the anti-conscience won't understand its directions.

There is an imperceptible fight inside you, between the wise unconscious mind that tries to save your humanity eliminating the poisonous anti-conscience, and this dangerous part of your brain and psyche that is so cruel and wild. You recount the human side of your conscience, the only part of your brain you have passage to.

The other parts are imperceptible for you, but they are fighting for you: the human conscience. The evil anti-conscience wants to destroy you wholly and take your place, while the wise and saintly unconscious mind is trying to save you and transform you into a wise, sensible and sensitive human being, so that you may live happily forever.

Dream Symbols which indicate great danger are the following:

1. The Spider - If you see a spider in a dream, this is theorize for alarm. The spider represents a great danger threatening your future. If you don't pay concentration to varied prominent details of reality and if you don't do what you must in order to solve an prominent problem, the consequences will be very bad for you.

The spider is trying to show you that there is an imperceptible trap in the air. If you are not cautious, you'll die there.

I have already explained to you that the dream messages have a protective character and that your worst enemy is the anti-conscience that tries to destroy the human side of your conscience straight through craziness.

What does it mean? It means that this wild part of your brain is constantly invading the aware field and trying to make you consequent its suggestions. If you pay concentration to them and you consequent them, you start losing the conception of what you are doing and you also start losing operate of your life and your behavior.

This is how you start becoming a slave of the anti-conscience; in other words: this is how you come to be neurotic.

Now, the spider may recount a danger in your daily life, which is also related to the anti-conscience. Everything that happens with you can give an occasion to the anti-conscience to start influencing your thoughts and your behavior, while pushing you towards the labyrinth of craziness.

The spider means that you cannot postpone an obligation, you cannot avoid taking action, you must do something urgently, otherwise you'll have serious problems in the future.

You'll live in a hell because of the problems you'll have to face, or you'll regret very much for not having done the right thing when you still had the chance.

The spider is a warning that protects you from being naïve and irresponsible.

There are many other dream symbols that indicate great danger, but I cannot give you a detailed explanation about each one of them in a short article...

I'm only going to mention them, translating for you their meaning, so that you may have an idea about their importance.

2. Teeth falling - This stamp is one of the worst ones. If you see in your dream that your teeth are falling, this means that you are production a very serious moral mistake that could cost you your life, your reasoning condition and happiness.

3. You are flying in the air - This means that you are totally far from reality and your suppositions are absurd. You are an easy victim for the evil anti-conscience, because you believe in what is unreal.

For example you will be betrayed, abandoned, lose Everything you have, face despair, etc.

6. A rat or many rats - The rats recount men or women (depending on your gender) that only want to take benefit of you, pretending that they love you. Be meticulous if you have a connection with person or you are reasoning about having an affair with them, but you suddenly see a rat in your dream.

There many other dream symbols that indicate danger. Unfortunately the wise unconscious mind has to show you all the dangers that threaten your reasoning condition and happiness...

You have to learn the dream language, so that you may understand not only that you are in danger, but also how to successfully solve all your problems, staying out of danger forever by eliminating the evil anti-conscience.

You'll transform this primitive and violent part of your brain and psyche into a calm and wise part of your human conscience, being this way able to live peacefully and happily.

Angler Fish - Glowing Deep Sea Monsters

Anglerfishes are paramount for their unusual predatory technique. Their first spine have been advanced into a fishing pole with a itsybitsy bate in the end. The fishing pole is as a matter of fact named "illicium" and the bate is named "esca". The esca is a fleshy increase found at the end of the illicium. When a predatory fish notices the esca, it thinks that it is a favorable prey. It swims close to the esca, and is rapidly overtaken by the Anglerfish before it gets a change to swallow the esca.

Dream Teeth

There are more than 200 known species of Anglerfish in the world, and more might be found in the hereafter since a lot of the Angler fish species inhabit great depths far down in the ocean where humans and their investigate equipment seldom venture. The Anglefish species are not contained in any special family or genera, they are instead spread out over several dissimilar families. They do however belong to the same order; Lophiiformes. (The order of the bony fishes.)

Angel fish species are paramount for their capability to kill and consume prey that is much larger than them selves. The ambush effect makes it possible for Angelfishes to kill large prey and their adaptable body makes it possible for them to swallow the catch. Their jaws can be distended to adapt huge prey and their thin and flexible bones make their stomach larger. The stomach of an Angler fish is very stretchy.

As mentioned above, a lot of the Anglerfish species dwell far down in the ocean. They inhabit aphotic zones to where the suns' light can not penetrate. A general esca is therefore invisible. The deep living Angler fish species have solved this by entering a symbiotic connection with a inescapable type of bacteria than produce light. The bacteria colonise the esca and make it glow in the dark, an example of so called bioluminescence. Bioluminescence is a tasteless feature in deep sea living organisms and other predatory fishes in the aphotic zone will therefore assume that the small esca is a favorable prey. The rest of the Angler fish is dark and can not be detected in the aphotic environment. The light from the esca is not strong enough to illuminate the body of the fish, nor is the light from other bioluminescent organisms. The Angler fish can therefore stay wholly private and ambush the unsuspecting predatory fish.

Deep sea Angler fish have advanced an unusual formula of reproduction. Once a male Anglerfish finds a female Anglerfish, he will never leave her. He attaches himself to her body using his sharp teeth and produces an enzyme that slowly allows him entrance to her blood stream. The two fishes will slowly melt together and the male will not hunt, he will get all the nourishment that he needs from the female Anglerfish. When she is ready to ovulate, the hormone levels in her blood will make the male produce sperm than can fertilize the eggs. In order for this formula to be successful, the female Anglerfishes are much larger than the male. When the males have attached themselves to a female, they will as a matter of fact deteriorate even further. One of the largest found female Anglerfishes was bigger than one yard (more than 90 centimeters). Some female Anglerfishes will allow several males to attach themselves to her.
