This morning I awoke with a start - I had an exam that had started, and I wasn't going to make it on time. I was sweating because just moments before I had been running straight through the halls of my old high school, frantically searching for the classroom in which this imaginary exam was being held. After K successfully placed me down and convinced me that, no, I had no exam to attend, and no, I wasn't going to fail a course.. I happily went back to sleep. It was only until later today that I had begun to wonder what exactly inspired that dream? That is, what was going on in my subconscious that I ordinarily repressed when fully awake and functioning? So, I did a minute research, and this is what I found:
Dream Interpretation Teeth
Most citizen dream about 3 to 5 times a night - some have as many as 7! If we're blessed enough to have 8 hours of sleep, we ordinarily spend 2 hours of it dreaming. If you wake up without having dreamt: don't worry. You did. It has been scientifically proven that the brain is active and all the time experiences the dream-state, some citizen are just genetically prone to forgetting their dreams upon awakening, or they're too tired, too awake, too stressed, consume too much alcohol, etc, to remember.
The meaning of a dream obviously varies from someone to person, based upon their current stance in life and their own memories, personal experiences, etc. But the basic guidelines are as follows:
Dreaming of sex? If it's about a celebrity it may be as simple as wish/fantasy fulfillment. Nope, it doesn't mean that they're dreaming about you. If it's about someone you know, take a look at your connection with them, and their personality traits. They could record a part of yourself, so these dreams tend to be more about bonding with that person. It could be basal attraction - are you repressing feelings?
Dreaming of falling? Dreams of falling can be your dreamworld expression of feelings of insecurity and anxiety. You may feel out of operate in clear situations in your life or with your life overall. It can be an indication of feelings of failure or self-destructive behaviour. Don't confuse these dreams of falling with spasms that wake you up - those are reportedly something else entirely.
Dreaming of your teeth falling out? If you embarrassingly cover your mouth up after your teeth fall out, it could indicate worry about looking foolish and trying to hide embarrassment in real life. It could indicate feeling loss of operate in your waking situation. Are you taking care of your body? Losing your teeth is one of the first signs of malnutrition. It could signify that you don't feel the most clear when it comes to supporting and caring for yourself.
Dreaming of flying? When you dream of flying it could indicate that you feel on top of things. You feel like you are unbeatable and strong willed.
Dreaming of taking an exam, or looking out that you have one last minute? It could indicate that you are feeling tested by a current situation in your life. You may feel scrutinized or that you're facing an obstacle you do not feel equipped to overcome.
Recurring dreams may indicate that you're not acknowledging something in your life that needs to be addressed. There is other suggestion that recurring nightmares/dreams may indicate that the someone experiencing them may be trying to deal with the trauma of an incident in their past.
Always look for personal reasons first.. For, while these basic theories may apply, only you are aware of your memories and current circumstance.
